The app of Dropbox has one big lack: the ability to edit notes directly from the app. I know there are other app that allow you to do that but it should be a function of Dropbox.

Can we expect an update with this function?

I'm puzzled. No Dropbox client on any platform provides "note" editing. Why should iOS?

Dropbox is a file-storage and -sync application. Why lard it up with a text editor? And if they'd do that, where should they stop? Why not a built-in spreadsheet application? A presentation platform? ...And so on.

There are a number of apps which do actually work with Dropbox.

Plaintext is one.
