Is there any way to put an edited document from the iPad back into the drop box? Thanks

I haven't tried yet on my iPad with the Dropbox app.

If the DropBox app can't, you have other options.

Readdledocs (and I think GoodReader) can access DropBox. Of course you have to pay for those apps, but they are well worth the price. They rock.

Yeah GoodReader can upload/download to DropBox. See link;

Readdledocs can too:

Instruction are for iPhone but should work with iPad
1. Enter your Dropbox account from ReaddleDocs installed on your iPhone
(in Network menu tap Dropbox account icon)
2. Tap Edit button (pencil) at the top right corner.
3. Tap “upload” button on the toolbar
4. Select files you want to upload to Dropbox account
5. Press “Done” button

Edit: Oh you said "edited" item back in the dropbox. Not sure if Readdledocs or Goodreader can overwrite old files? Maybe they can. Dunno.
