I'm in the process of uploading a lot of video to my Dropbox account. I'm using the web client and it is super slow. I've avoided using the Mac app in the past because I didn't really need it. However I know you can increase your upload speeds via the Mac app and cannot with the web client. Do you guys have experience getting faster upload speeds using the Mac app and tweaking settings versus using their website?

If you stop uploading to dropbox and run a speed test (like http://speedtest.net), you will know what your max upload speed is.
Then you can divide your file size by your upload speed and see how long it should take or use a tool like: https://techinternets.com/copy_calc. Keep in mind that your internet speed is likely fast in download, but slow in upload.

If the time is close to what you are seeing then you will not get a benefit to the app.
