dropped calls

I keep having a problem with the iphone dropping calls at the beginning of the call. I may have to call back the caller 3 or 4 times before I can receive the call. All with 5 bars. I went to ATT and they changed the sim card and said see apple. Went to apple and I am on my third phone. Same problem with each phone.
Never had this problem with verizon. My friends all have iphones and don't have this problem.
What's the story here?

At&t

It happens to me all the time on my iPhone and my Blackberry both on AT&T it is their network. It gets better from time to time however.

my iphone used to be pretty reliable... in the past 2-3 weeks, it's been dropping calls like crazy... makes me sooooo mad
