I dropped my phone in an ice bath a few days ago... (dont even get me started as to how that happened). Anyways, everything is functional other than the screen, which isn't turning on. I have a temporary phone before the new iPhone comes out and was wondering if there was any way I could mirror my iPhone to my computer in the meantime. (getting texts, notifications, etc. would like to see). Airplay is not an option as I cant navigate my way without the screen. Touch panel however does work.

you can get iMessages on your macbook through the app. Contacts on iCloud.com.

Borrow a friend's phone. Back it up. Backup your phone and restore it to your friend's phone. Now read and take out what you need. Restore your friends backup. Done. :)

Yes, you can!!!

There are a few options available:

iTools - Free; Connects via USB. After you start it up, click on 'Desktop' and then 'Live Preview'. Kinda choppy but it works. Windows only

AirServer - Trial period then costs $$; Awesome framerate! Windows and MAC.

Dongle - I think you can buy a physical dongle that connects directly into your monitor and/or TV.

Good luck!

As an AirServer user, I highly recommend it. However, it may not help you here, as you have to switch on mirror mode from the phone. And if you can't see the screen, you can't activate mirror mode.

The OP can try to navigate to turn it on, but you would be flying blind. The steps needed depend on what version of iOS on the phone.

Edit: and I just realized this is a necro-thread.
