Dropped my iPhone into the toilet bowl today. WTF! Slipped out of me hand and down it went into the tasty bowl...........Hmmmm! Phone immediately shut down and was non responsive. Got a little response when I plugged it into itunes about 7 hours later. Tried to restore but failed. It only sat in the water for 2 seconds and the phone had on the ArtWizz case.

Any advise on what to do now. It's a brand new 1.1.3 software phone thats been active for only two weeks.

What do I do and how do I reset it? Please any advice.

I never thought it would happen to me. This could be anyone of us at anytime. I surely said to myself that I wouldn't let this ever happen. Well.................It did!!!!!!

Thanks guys!!!!:(:(:(:(
Wait, how come you're still on 1.1.3??????:confused::confused:

Am I missing something here???

While cruising the Caribbean aboard my sailboat a marine VHF 2-way radio I had mounted in the cockpit took a wind driven soaking from a hurricane. It wasn't my only VHF on board, but was very handy to have topside, especially on night watches at sea. A $200 radio in the U.S. can cost $600 in the islands when duty is applied.

I tore the radio down, flooded the electronics with alcohol, blew it all out with a gas station air hose, and baked it in the oven on low heat (about 130°) for an hour. After all that the radio worked great for a another 3 years until I sold the boat.

If my iPhone were dead from water exposure I wouldn't hesitate to give it a shot before shelling out for a new one.

Minus the baking.... The heat can damage the chips, best to just let it air dry.

Did the same with my iPod touch a week after I got it.
Apparantly Wal-mart doesn't check for water damage.
I've been using the new one since

It's stories like this that make me really appreciate what I have. I have a large penis so 2 hands are a must...this nuisance has always deter me from holding anything in 1 hand while doing nature's duty.

Sometimes I feel it's a hassle to always use 2 hands but I have never had a toilet bowl phone...knock on wood.

This is why you should not use toilets. A hidden bush or neighbor's tree is a much better option.

don't *** in the wind!

I peed on my iphone and the power button didn't work. I took it to Apple store and he looked in there and said you dropped this in water. I said no i didn't, i peed on it. He replaced the data ribbon cable and now it works fine, but it still smells like pee.
