My mother dropped her phone in water and she put it in rice but took it out to charge it and it’s glitches. It didn’t regonize her password but it finally did get her in and now she has it charging in rice. Will it work? She doesn’t want a new phone.

If there only were a place like a search company that would allow me to look this up on that internet I keep hearing about. 😉
A lot of people advise to use silica gel instead of rice.
You dodged a bullet! Glad it is working for youUpdate: The phone is fine!!
Do not be surprised if it acts up months later but by that time you can look into an upgrade.Update: The phone is fine!!

I disagree and stand by my statement........surprised anyone would differ to be honest. Not really. In many cases, the phone will likely have a much shorter life even if the slightest amount of water protruded the internals, or any were near the logic board. Its more of a matter of time versus dodging anything.
I suggest getting a good data backup of it, in case it starts acting up.Update: The phone is fine!!
