dropped it, whats maybe come adrift

Powerbook G4
Fell from a locker and cracked case here and there,
It powers on, but I get a grey screen with a folder and ?
Or by hitting 'Z' I get some sort of command screen,
Its message reads,
'Exit' to shut down
Or type
"Mac-run"

Which doesn't do anything.
Is it possible something has shaken loose on impact and it can't now find its OS,
Or is it spares only.

Sounds like the hard-drive is dead. The question mark means it cannot find the OS if I am not mistaken.

OK, that seems a fairly comprehensive vote for the one component.

Is it worth a replacemen do we think, or buy a bit newer model.

Well you could buy a new hard drive, but then you'd have a computer with pretty major cosmetic damages. If I were you I'd buy a whole new powerbook 😀
