I was using my macbook when I reached to get something, (it was on my lap) and it fell a couple feet. There is a hairline crack on the monitor half right behind the speakers about two inches long.

It works just as good as before but makes a clicking noise when I open it, since my warrenty is as good as voided now is there any recommendations on how to patch it up?

You might look on eBay for a replacement for that part of the shell. Or else just take it off and use epoxy to fix it....

Take it to an apple store, tell them what happened and they should replace it for a price. It wont be considered a defect covered under warranty but they should replace it for a price.
