If their happened to be a Target you might be in luck, they have some pretty insane surveillance, I saw them pull someones credit card number off a camera that wasn't even zoomed in and it was like crystal clear, Target even has a forensics division...that was back in '07 too....but I'm betting any nice mall should have surveillance cameras. So see if you can get the tapes! Its fun to play investigator and you have good cause to do it.

There was a target right outside where I helped her out, haha but I doubt they have similar surveillance. It's Canada after all :p I'm waiting for the police to get back to me. They have all the info and have approved the case. I have a case number and all. Let's see.

Yeah I guess you'd really have to have them to sift through them...my mom had her card stolen so LE was obviously involved, they didn't seam to mind us checking out their "command center" as it were. Still it probably can't hurt to ask, worst thing they can say is no. Side note: Were you in the service? I just noticed your username.

I was.

Depends on thier financial situation. I have seen many cars run into the ground.

Yup. I had a car without reverse for a while (common problem with Saab 900s the alloy casing had a thin metal loop to hold the reverse idler gear shaft and one hard crunchy shift it would snap off needing $4000 replacement. In the 1980s $4000 was not something everyone had just lying around.

Driving a car without the possibility of reverse was an exercise in planning to say the least.

Did you have find my iPhone set up on your old phone and do you have it set up on your new one?

I'll get criticized for this but I'm going to say it anyway.

If you think you know the house where the lady lives, I'd knock on the door. If she answers, I'd remind her who I was and say I hope she found my phone. If someone else answered I'd explain the situation and ask if they knew the woman. I would not accuse anyone of anything. Just talk about the "lost" phone. I recovered my own phone like this and my situation was not as favorable as yours.

I have it set up on both the old and the new phone. Thats how I tracked my old one to its last location till either someone turned it off or the battery died.

I'm not sure if they place it was tracked to is where she lives but it was stationary at that location for 4 hours till it was turned off. I was hoping I'd spot the same car in the driveway confirming that it was her and then I'd approach and knock. Findmyiphones results are accurate to 25-50m radius so it could be a number of houses. I tried knocking on one, no one answered. Kind of a shady neighbourhood. No door bells on any of the houses and no garages where the car could have been parked. I've put in a report with the police and blacklisted the IMEI. Do you think I should still go knocking around? I only wish I spot the car then I can be sure its the house.

OP at this point I'll let it go. No need to be knocking on strangers houses. The finder obviously is not doing the right thing.

Dude get this girl arrested. Contact the mall and have them check the cameras (I think you'll need a note from the police).

Bring screenshots of findmyiphone too.

Really? You're assuming a heck of a lot and he has no grounds do that anyway. The way you think is scary dude.

Just another perfect example of why you should never, EVER, do anything nice for someone else unless you are 1) trying to get laid or 2) contractually able to profit (to your satisfaction) by doing it. Maybe if they're friends or family, but only if it's deserved =).

Karma.... LMAO. If this isn't outright proof it doesn't exist I don't know wha... wait, actually I can think of about a billion things that prove it's crap, but I digress, this is still a good example.

As suggested, I would get new shorts. I hope it works out, but you know what they say about hope.

Good luck (seriously)!

I thought libertarians only used dumbphones? Perhaps you have the wrong message board? :apple:
