I was trying to change the channel on my tv with this useless remote control (it doesn't like to work at all) and it slipped out of my hand and landed on the keyboard of my MBP. The screen and mouse froze and it started beeping 3 beeps very loudly over and over. After holding down the power button for about 10 seconds the computer restarted. The computer seems to be working fine now, once it restarted it was business as usual. There is no physical damage that I can see, I can't even tell exactly where it landed. It was only from a height about 12" above the Macbook.

Why did it start beeping, is that a warning that the drive stopped working or something? Is there anything I should be worried about or look for?

I doubt it, you could have hit just about any combination of keys when it fell. Just keep an eye on it, if it continues to work properly you should be okay.
