I removed Windows 10 because it does not work right on my Mac. I am talking about my apple mouse which refuses to work under Windows because for some reason the Bluetooth in device manager is disabled and no matter what I try I can’t get it back. Do you think if I downloaded a more updated boot camp image the mouse will work again? Perhaps I may reinstall Windows but the mouse needs to work as I can’t survive with only the track pad.

Go into Device Manager and Uninstall all your networking components including Bluetooth. You might have to disable them first in Network and Sharing center. Don't delete the drivers when prompted. Just uninstall the network devices.

Then open a Command Prompt as an Administrator and try the following commands.
  • netsh int ip reset c:\reset.log
  • netsh winsock reset
After you do that restart. This resets most network stuff in Windows and fixes a lot of reliability issues. If you just uninstalled and didn't delete the drivers. Your network devices including Bluetooth should reinstall automatically.

Just note this should also delete any saved networks. So, you'll need to log back into any saved WiFi or redo any static IP settings.

This was one reason why I opted to just get a PC - While Macs can run windows for the most part there's just enough incompatibilities that make like a lot harder then it ought too. I found issues with the wireless, speaker and battery life (on a MBP) to be such that I (for my usage) would be better off.

OP, try https://www.bootcampdrivers.com/

@maflynn: that link is for graphics card (AMD, specifically) drivers (Probably not helpful to OP to fix bluetooth.)

But, from Windows, specifically uninstalling the bluetooth drivers from the device manager, then running the bootcamp WindowsSupport installer (while booted to Windows, double-click the Setup.exe from the BootCamp folder to reload all your bootcamp drivers) might help you out, too.

I think that link had other drivers, admittedly I don't need this sort of information but i thought it was helpful

Thanks for the tips everyone. I may decide to reinstall Windows or which I will employ this advice. But since I can get all my work done without it and it’s just a waste of disk space I probably won’t. At work I have Windows and use it everyday. At home I use the Mac and use Word often for my work.

Reinstalled Windows and now the apple mouse is working again. Dont know why BT was disabled in the first place on the old partition. Installed the latest version of Office for Windows and now I have Windows 10 on my mac just encase I need it. I wont switch to Windows since I believe Mac OS is better, but its good to have Windows for the job.
