Ok I got the apple watch and played a two long sets (22 songs in a set) with it on. I maxed out the health rings!! Btw, the sport watch wasn't to heavy on my hand as I played. It was not even noticeable.

I've gigged with my apple watch 42 black sport on and it concluded I had burnt 1500 calories that day.

Agreed, watch wasn't too heavy or awkward on the wrist - barely noticed it was on.

I doubt that not matter how much you use the drums, it will not hurt your Apple Watch.

Back in the 90's I helped work on a product used (at the time, and for some, still today) by several well known drummers, from Tommy Lee to Rick Allen to Gina Schock to Neil Peart, naming a few, and as a result went to quite a few shows at the time.

I don't recall a single one ever wearing a watch while working... One exception was Mick Fleetwood.

I just don't think watches and high energy drumming are all that compatible. Especially mechanical watches.

After reading this thread I find that drummers need a little more humility to say the least.

I know several drummers and other band members and what I have found is they do not work and eat on a regular basis.
