Pressing the power button does nothing, was working fine yesterday.

I had heard from a lot of people that I may just need to replace the logic board battery. Anyone else have some tips? My G5 has been unplugged almost a full day now (I am at work, computer at home), should I try pulling out the battery, then replacing it, and powering on? How about putting in a new one?

Can I just get the right battery from Radio Shack?

You could try replacing the batt. Yeah a RadioShack would have the one you need....I know this because sadly i'm working at one right now :( U could try taking the battery out and testing it before you buy one tho.
    How old is the computer?
Check all the power cords, make sure everything is connected.
    Replacing the batt. couldn't hurt

    Anywhere but here
I had the same problem with my g5 tower not turning on. Apple actually had to replace the logic board itself. You might want to have them look at your computer.

If replacing the PRAM battery doesn't work...

When you press the power button do the fans in the G5 momentarily spin up? Does the white LED at the front come on, even for a split second? Is there a clicking sound?

If so, then try resetting various components. Start by removing pairs of RAM as this is often a culprit. If you can get a hold of other, known working RAM, then try that. If that doesn't help try taking out the graphics card and re-inserting. Check that all other connectors and cards are properly installed by removing them and re-connecting.

If that doesn't work then it needs a serious inspection, it could be a faulty motherboard or PSU.
