Dual Boot - always ask startup disk?

I'm running 10.5.7 and Boot camp - is there any way to force my Mac to always ask which disk to start up without always having to hold the option key?

For dual booting on my MacBook with Leopard and Ubuntu Linux I have used rEFIt. Works great and supports various OSes including Windows under Boot Camp.
