Hello-

The inability of Apple's consumer machines to support a second display in anything but 'mirrored' mode is unsettling. Is there a way to possibly "trick out" an iMac to support a second display?

Also, has anyone heard of the Envision EN-7500? Will this work with a mac? What kind of adapters would I need.

Thanks,

-Nate

i thought that the ability for dual display was dependant on the video card? this means that you would need a new video card for the iMac, and i think that this would be very hard.

and no, i haven't heard of the Envision EN-7500, what is it? coiuld you post a link?

i don't think there's any easy way to get dual displays happening on a iMac, but i'm sure that if you really wanted to you could find a way.:)

Try the hacks over @ www.macparts.de/ibook

One's firmware and one's software, I suggest you try the software version first.

The software version's only in OS9, though, maybe someone can make an OSX hack too.

Of course this is all asumming you have an LCD one right?
