I'm looking for a dock that will simultaneously charge both iPad and iPhone. I've found this:

(XtremeMac)
which is rather silly as the phone blocks your view of the iPad screen.

And this:

(Griffin PowerDock Duo)
which is a more sensible design, but still looks rather plasticky.

Is there a more Apple-like product available? Something in aluminium, perhaps? In an absolutely ideal world, the iPad would slide in sideways as I prefer it in landscape mode, but I'd settle for portrait mode.

Yea the second one looks cheap. Why do you care if your phone blocks your iPad? I thought its really just to charge when your NOT using it.

How much is that first one?

Since the advent of wifi syncing, you need only connect when IOS updates appear...I prefer the first picture, but still have my original Apple dock...It's all I need.

How about something like this made by iSound?

You also have the option of turning your iPad to landscape mode in front of your iPhone so the view is unobstructed like so:

Amazon Link

Here is one made by iHome but the iPhone/iPod are placed in front of the iPad.

Any other suggested products?

I had a look at both the Griffin and the XtremeMac ones. The Griffin is horribly cheap-looking. The XtremeMac one isn't as bad, but it's still not great and covering the iPad screen is not ideal.

I can't believe someone hasn't created an aesthetically-pleasing version!

Ben

Thanks, but to be honest that looks like a really cheap and nasty copy of the XtremeMac one.
