If both of my eSim lines have voice & data available do they switch automatically when one line has no service?

Is it necessary to switch on “Allow Cellular Data Switching ” to switch from a line with no service to a line with service automatically? Or is the “Allow Cellular Data Switching” option for cases where one line does not have a data alotment so it can use the data alotment of the line that does have data?

Does “Allow Cellular Data Switching” help my phone switch from a line with no service to a line with service?

Yes, Allow Cellular Data Switching will automatically use the data on the other line if the primary data line does not have service.

OK, I will switch it on.
The switch makes a bit more sense because one cannot disable data individually per line.
So far it seems like that switch does these three things:
1. Allow a line that is not default for data to be used for data anyway.
2. Allow a line with no service to use the line with service for WiFi calling.
3. If a voice call is made on a network where it can’t do simultaneous voice and data the other line is used for data.
4. Allow a line with no service to switch to a line with service for data.

Really number 4 is all I need mine to do. I am not a fan of rolling so many complex options into one tiny check box.
