Does anybody know why the Dual Knit Band as a standalone is so wildly unavailable? I ordered mine over a month ago and it’s still yet to ship.

I have a feeling I know the answer to this question “The small production lines didn’t compensate for the large need for both existing users and ones that come with the M5.” Any insight would help, because surely if otherwise, the Vision Pro is selling better than thought? Thanks.

As you said, you answered your own question. Regardless, it won't make a difference to when you'll receive your DKB. I ordered one in October and my delivery date is Dec. 4-11. I've waited this long, so another week or so isn't so bad. Of course, I won't be happy if the size the app recommended turns out to be wrong, but I'll just have to wait and see.

As I thought. Mine is due next week. Thanks for replying.

saved them all for m5 models and didn't expect so many wanting one. it really is great and makes the m5 vision pro fairly comfortable for me

Even the M5 model is sold out... I just ordered one yesterday in the US and it has a December 8th delivery date, and no Apple Stores within 500+ miles have one.

I don't trust the face scans to determine the correct size. My first two scans said Large, my second two said Medium. So I ordered both and will keep the one that fits best - no way I'm waiting another 6 weeks if the size turns out to be incorrect.

Yeah, I probably should have done that, though all my scans indicated large. At least my order is now preparing to ship, so I should find out soon.

Got mine today. Thankfully, the L size seems right. So far, it definitely makes a huge difference – I had tolerable pressure on my upper cheeks with the dual strap, but that's almost completely gone now. It's unfortunate that Apple didn't put in the effort to include the dual knit band when the AVP was first released – it would have countered most of the complaints about comfort, if not price.

I ordered on November 11 and received it December 12. I initially hesitated to order because I’ve used several third-party adapters and straps, but settled on the ANNAPRO Head Strap 2 for the past couple of months.
The Dual Knit Band is comfortable and feels more secure than those early 3D printed adapters that required buying a second single Knit Band. The only negative so far is that you can’t use the Dual Knit Band without the light seal for lighter weight and more awareness of your surroundings. I really like the fact that the new band packs down smaller than the ANNAPRO Head Strap.
It’s a real shame that Apple doesn’t seem to prioritize keeping up with demand. The long wait time pushed me to want to try-on the band before ordering. I went to the Apple Store for a quick “demo” and even the employees found it strange that nothing was in-stock.
