Hi everyone, so far I been loving this Imac for over a year. What I need to do now is run Leopard with PT8 & Snow Leopard with PT9 on separate partitions. Can anyone direct me to a clip or maybe a youtube clip on to do this?, thank, and have a great weekend.

First, which iMac is it? Newer ones (Oct 2009 models and after) won't support Leopard at all IIRC.

As for the Leopard / SL dual install, it is possible on supporting models with separate installs on separate partitions.

the-ep, thank you for chiming in. I have an Imac duocore 1.83 Intel. When I first bought it, I ran Tiger & PT7, then upgraded to Leopard & PT8, and now I'm at Snow Leopard & PT9, but the thing is that PT9 wants more ram, and is great for mix down, but for tracking I was better off with Leopard & PT8, since that only requires 1gig of ram. I would like to track with Leopard & PT8, then mixdown with Snow Leopard & PT9.

Hi everyone, I need help on how to have Snow leopard and leopard on the system drive ( PARTITIONED), please forgive me but I'm not that versed on Macs, fairly new but loving every minute learning. I already have Snow Leopard running, but I need to partition the drive to have Leopard on it. Thanks and have a great week everyone.

Its rather easy. Start the Disk Utility, select your main drive, go to the Partition tab, use the "+" button to add a new partition. Resize as appropriate, press "Apply". Then, simply install another OS onto the new partition.

Don't forget to backup in case something goes wrong though!
