I have an AT&T eSIM as my primary line and Xfinity Mobile as my secondary. After updating to iOS 14.5 I’d thought AT&T 5G would be supported via eSIM but only 4G & LTE are visible to select from. My Xfinity Mobile line shows 5G as a selectable option. Anyone else experiencing this issue and have a resolution? TIA

Same issue, I just upgraded to iOS 14.5 and only option under AT&T is LTE and 4G, does not appear to be working . Verizon has 5G AUTO 5G and LTE.

Did you solve your problem?

No unfortunately not. Have done many resets etc but no resolution. May have to take a trip down to the AT&T store.

Under Cellular and your ATT account make sure you you have three options - this option is just below the "Voice and Data" option where we were only seeing LTE and 4G, now I see 5G on, 5G Auto and LTE
ALLOW more Data on 5G
Standard
Low Data Mode

If you have these three, make sure Allow more Data on 5G is checked. This may fix it. If not, I had ATT reprovision my eSIM and it is working now. I have dual sim 5G.

Exact same issue . I have XFINITY mobile as primary sim and AT&T as e SIM. Both on 5G plan, after update.x did network reset. Factory. Airplane mode. nothing. Doesn’t even show 5G as an option for AT&T but does for XFINITY

I did a ticket with apple engineering and AT&T still nothing . I can bet it’ll be a fix with new update

Ok I got the issue resolved. Exact same boat as you. I chatted with at$t and had them reprovision my sim with my EID. and now it works

Yes, I gave them myEID number in settings and AT&T imei and SIM card and they reprovisoned it sent me back to cellular activation and then 5G became an option. Took 20 mins with their chat. Just message them and say I need my e sim re provisioned to work with 5g

No, not at all. I’m aware you can only have 5G active on whichever line is the cellular data line. The issue is dual sim users didn’t have the option of 5G for e sim or physical sim prior to this 14.5 update. After the update, my cellular data line which is AT&T doesn’t give me 5G. If I switched it to my XFINITY mobile line it does. What I noticed is that under my XFINITY line it gave me the option to choose between LTE, 4G or 5G. AT&T didn’t. Even tho device is unlocked, 5G compatible and 5G plan. So I had to call AT&T and have the reprovsiion my e sim with my EID to make the 5G show up as an option for it to work.

The problem before the update for me, was that I couldn't have 5G enabled on any line if both lines were active. Meaning I had to disable one line ( or remove sim ) to be able to have 5G on a line.

Yep. I had to turn off my AT&T line just for 5G to work on my other. Never had the option for the 5G for my AT&T even tho I should have
