This never occurred to me when using Camtasia or any other screen recording program on the PC. I've had my Mac for 2 years, and often screen record with it, and wonder... why do my colors look dull, and some details blurred a tiny bit?

Is it the way that Apple renders screen capture footage? I've tried several formats and codecs, all set on 'best' or very high settings. .avi, .mov, .mp4

However, the raw files from Camtasia were PERFECT, until touched in post-production.

HELP, PLEASE!

Sadly, I haven't even been able to reach near the ACTUAL screen shot, even rendering in lossless AVI, in fact, it looked a lot worse than MP4.
