I recently picked up a mbp in which I upgraded my ram.
Can my friend use the MBP ram?

Also, what is a good easy reference source for mac ram configurations?

As long as it has that, it works fine.

Most memory problems posted here is caused by ESD, or electrostatic discharge (simply static). Make sure you ground yourself before installing.
