How do you get to the feature where you could control which bullet points show up with each click during a presentation. I couldn't think of the name of it so I couldn't find it under help. I'm using Office 2008.
 
It's called Custom Animation, and to get to it just click the tab shown in the attachment.

Make sure you select the element you want to animate before adding the effect :D

To add: the entrance effect you want is 'appear' and you need to select '1st level' under the text animation box at the bottom of the formatting palette

Sorry tht's not very clear, but i don't have ppt open atm
