I hadn't had an iPad for years and began watching on YouTube all the recent hype about the pro models and how great they are. But I had been long happy with my Samsung tablets. I had given up on ipads because of the lack of flexibility that the Samsungs have and the real world laptop experience I've had with the microsoft surface pros. But with all the attention ipad pros were getting I decided MAYBE ipads are now a different animal for my usage, I shopped and got great deals on 2020 ipp 11 and 12.9. The former lte version for $600, the latter, $800 for 256gb wifi. Both new. But I am VERY disappointed, and found very little change compared to the earlier ipads I once owned. So they sit in their new cases barely used by me, and I plan to sell them and stay with using the Samsung and windows tablets. I also use a Mac mini, MacBook pro, and the 12" macbook, so I'm not an apple hater. Its just that the ipad pros offer nothing really new to me. I

You wanted to see if they were a fit for you after years of them not being so you went and got 1500$ worth of them to test? Bit of a risk that!

I love mine. They improve both hardware and software year on year. There is no way I find working on android tablets anything close to iPads.

The logical thing to have done was buy from Apple and make use of the 14 day return period, so you wouldn't be out any money.

Not sure why you felt a deep need to inform the forum you are unhappy and selling your eBay bought iPads.

So when we remove the unnecessary drama, you are simply returning them because - no surprise - iPads still work like iPads.

What did you plan on doing on the iPad and why has it disappointed you?

What prevents them from sharing their thoughts here?
Nothing.

The OP made a thread denigrating the iPad screen. Soon after, the OP creates 2 bragging threads about his 2 eBay iPad purchases under the guise of asking for post purchase advice on whether he got a good deal. And now that the dust has settled from the bragfest that really wasn't, the OP feels the need to inform us of something he had already known from the start about, in regards to his thoughts on and use of the iPad.

This thread isn't about parlaying practical information. It is another brag thread by the OP.

I am not going to belabor my point and will leave my comments where they are. I have said what I wanted to say.

I wrote it as more info for anyone contemplating buying an iPad pro coming from Samsung or Microsoft and having great expectations that don't live up to the hype, in the end. at least that was my experience. ymmv.

yes, absolutely correct. through all those versions, the iPad is still the same old devise, with some updates. so, yeah, that iswhy I'm selling them off.

Helpful info for someone else who might be thinking of trying them again. Honestly not much has changed over the years. I still prefer an iPad over other tablet options but I can see why others might not.

I didn’t have to buy a new iPad to come to that conclusion as that’s pretty well established over the 11 years iPads have been around.

Maybe wait a few weeks to see what the next major OS update announcement brings. It might make iPads more useful for certain workflows.

So what is your personal use workflow/scenario or usage requirement?
