I'm considering it. It's beginning to feel like the only advantage to having the 6+ is for the battery life. Apple gives it equal specs to the 6 which makes the 6 Plus worse in terms of performance. It has been the laggiest and buggiest iPhone I've ever owned (and I've had them all except the iPhone 2G). Very few 3rd party apps take advantage of landscape mode, it's $100 more, and at the end of the day the 4.7" model just feels more perfect in the hand.

I actually have no problem with the size of the phone itself, though the 6 does feel better. It fits comfortably into all of my jeans' pockets. I just want to have the smoothest and most stable device available. So if this time around Apple gives them both the same specs again it's going to push me towards the 4.7" model.

Even if you discount the better battery life the higher resolution is enough to differentiate both phones. I don't think I can use anything less than 1080p in 2015. 720 p is a huge step backwards for me considering that I got my first 720p phone in 2012.

I did the opposite. I had a 6 since launch and impulsively got the 6 Plus in mid April. Had a hard time with the size initially but now I'm used to it and have no issues with using it one handed. Now that I got spoiled with the screen size and battery life, I'm inclined to stick with the Plus series.

that's what I'm planning to do. I currently use the 6+ but it's getting trouble some, I use iPad most of the time anyway.

Switching to the regular 6(s). The plus is too big, i sit down with the phone in my pocket and need to put on a table instead. It's uncomfortable. I looked at the note 4 the other day and it looked so small, yes the note 4! Never mind putting the plus in a case, it looks like I picked up my skateboard and decided to rest my head against it.

Phones are getting too damn big! And that's my rant for the day.

Didn't even bother waiting for the S iteration to make the switch. Got the 5.5" 6+ close to launch, used it for a couple of months and eventually decided to go for the 4.7" 6.

While I loved (and still miss) the battery life on the 6+, the size just made it awkward for me to use. For me, the 6+ was way too big that I kept dropping the phone but it was still too small for a decent web surfing experience, etc. I never once felt that the 6+ could replace my iPad (LTE version which I carry around in my purse everywhere). For the times when I want a bigger display, I'd reach for the iPad. Everything else, the 6 works far more comfortably.

6+ definitely not comfortable on my hand. I am very happy with 6 and will never prefer bigger size than ip 6.

Just got the 6+ recently, and might sell it and upgrade to the 6S+ when it comes out. I would upgrade to a smaller screen if they offered a new one in a 4" or 3.5" size again, but there is no way I'd go down to the 4.7", it's still way to big for one handed use so I want to get all the benefit of a large screen and better battery life if I have to give that up.

I have been going back/forth on this question recently. Since getting the Apple Watch I don't pull my phone out nearly as much as I used to. When/if I'm going to be sitting for a while I use my iPad. I do enjoy the screen size and battery life but wondering lately if that is enough to keep me on the plus. Probably, but its still on my mind with new models on the way.

I have a 6 and a 6+ use the 6+ most of the time. I will probably get a 6S+ then try and get a 6s down the road. Seems like no matter which one you get you always have the feeling you like the other too. The trick I feel to the 6+ is the case it can make or break the phone. I have the Apple leather case which doesn't add hardly any extra bulk. Some of the cases I tried I just felt like it made the phone way to big.

I just sold my 6 PLUS, which i loved! Now I'm using my 5 until the the 6s comes out but having the smaller phone is sort of freeing for some reason. I'm thinking the 6 size at be the sweet spot? Is there anything I'm losing with the 6s other than screen size?

It all depends on how you use, and what you use, on your phone. I could list several small things you would lose, but you may not even use those things now.

Screen size
OIS
Added keyboard shortcuts
Battery life
Landscape mode on home screen
Higher pixel density

The battery is bigger I know but does that translate to longer life? It powers a bigger screen too.. And I thought the 6 had higher pixel density?!

Its certainly longer battery life and by quite a bit. The Plus has 401ppi...the regular has 326ppi.

I am tired of the bulky plus. I am going down to 6s. If Apple would get rid of the bezels it would be a different story. Just came back from store. 6S is fine. Cant see either screen without glasses.

Wow I can't go back to that ppi. Why would Apple do that??

Its not that bad and the contract ratio is better in the 6S. I want a phone. I have a rMB for everything else. If the OS really starts using the 6s+'s screen resolution I might regret that, but I won't miss this bulky PIA in my pocket.

I'm going from 6 Plus to 6s. The screen size on the 6 Plus is fantastic, the huge bezels make it a poorly designed phone. So many Android phones with 5.5"+ screens fit way better in the hands. If Apple actually puts some thought into the design of the 7 Plus, I might go back to the 5.5" screen.
