I started using the address book on my MacBook when I got my iPhone recently. I just noticed that several of the contacts have been duplcated on the phone but are not doubled in file on the laptop. I thought synching made both match up, but apparently not. If I manually delete the extras on the phone should I expect this not to happen again?

Do you have 2 different email/contact sources.

This happened to my husband. Turned out he was syncing to both his Google acct and PC acct. Changed setting to sync contacts with Google and deleted the ones the phone from the PC. All is good now.
