Duplicate iCloud account for two people??

Hi

My wife has an iCloud acc that has been active for a few mths. We have received an email from someone in the US stating that they have THE SAME icloud account address and that they are receiving my wife's emails. I have spoken to Apple who said it shd not be possible but have agreed that it is happening and I have just had another email from my wife's nominal doppelganger that she is still receiving my wife's mail.

Any ideas...?

One (preferably both) of you will need to get a new account.
