Hi forum
I know it may sound a little bit strange, but is it possible through some third party software to duplicate my iPads screen to my Mac (like a duplicated secondary display.) Just the way it works through secondary display.

What I ask for is something that reminds of SideCar. Just the other way around.

You could open QuickTime and create a new screen recording - from there you can select your iPad screen if it’s plugged in by USB. It should update in real-time even if you’re not recording. I haven’t tried but I assume you could make it full screen and it would be pretty close to what you want.

I can't get it to go full screen.
Just tried, works fine for me. I made a mistake in the original instructions, you have to press New Movie Recording rather than New Screen Recording and select the iPad as the input camera.

It can't match the aspect ratio of the Mac's screen (just like it doesn't when connected to an external monitor), but it does go full screen and if you leave the cursor still for a few seconds, all the QuickTime UI fades away.
