Hello,

Might anyone recommend a really good duplicate photo remover ?

There seem to be many available, but I guess the main thing is the algorithm(s) they
use to determine dups.

Really only want to work with one.

What's the "best" ?

Would be willing to spend ($15 max. perhaps) if it isn't free, but, of course,
would prefer s really good free one.

Thanks,
Bob

Anyone here come across any issues with Photosweeper?

I’ll probably back everything up and then give it a try. Am wondering if anyone hit anything really concerning, thanks!

Photo sweeper works great also for finding duplicates.i bought I photo manager to also merge libraries together.

Hi,

Yes, I use PixCompare.

Seems to work very well.
I like it, a lot.

Wish, though, that there would be some way to remove duplicates from
withing the Google Photos App, where I have most of my everyday photos stored.

Anyone know how to, assuming it is even possible ?

Bob

Hi there,
This is my 5th day with a Mac.
On the third day however I wanted to enjoy the Photos app, so before importing I needed to "clean up".
So i got Duplicate Photos Fixer Pro. I think is quick and good (served my purpose). I liked the fact that you could select the matching level. Probably a common feature in other apps. Another thing is "auto mark". You can check and tweak the criteria for auto marking, then inspect 5-10% of the auto marking and if happy with it just trash the marked ones.
I did this within my folders so i assume that you can access your Google folders to brought to your machine, processed and sent back home wherever they live in the cloud. Is my understanding that it can process libraries also. I only created my library (import to Photos app) after the cleanup.
