Alright, I finally decided to organize my iTunes library seeing that I will be getting a new iPod Touch. I cleared out the song lists, and deleted the library data files. And every time I reload all my songs, I see a LOT of duplicates. Most songs have 4 copies of themselves. What is going on here?

wait you say organize then you say cleared out.
you might want to check the folder than has all your music in because it possibly has the song twice or more.

but there is a weird glitch in itunes that the song will be copied twice.
i just encountered it tonight, again.

if you got time just delete the copies,
i find that doing this is the quickest way.
get the navigator (the thing on the top that shows genre, artists then albums, if you don't know what im talking about ill tell you tommorow)
    start with artists,
    then sort by albums,
then arrange the songs by name, and that should be easy to see all the duplicates.
    then start at the bottom,
    press
    1. delete,
    2. enter,
    3. then m.
then arrow up and repeat 1, 2, and 3,

doing it this way by starting at the bottom makes it a little easier.
