duplicate texts

so my phone started sending duplicate texts every time I text. Is there a way to correct this?

Not much help over at Apple discussions, they blame AT&T: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=8217579&#8217579

They may have a point, but a restart and possibly a restore of the iPhone might also help...?

I think it is AT&T and not iPhone related. My daughters both have BB Pearls and all three of us had this exact problem last weekend. It eventually stopped - there must have been a problem on the AT&T routing engine for texts.
