Hello,
I just got a new MacBook Pro and installed Windows 8.1 on it. Afterwards, every time time I bring up the boot manager (by holding option/alt on startup), two "Windows" partitions appear. On selection the first one boots into Windows, but the second one just hangs the computer. I checked and am sure there is only one installation of Windows on the computer.

Also, only one Windows partition shows up in Startup Disk preferences.

What do you think might be causing this and can it be fixed?

I have the same issue, just after cloning my old hdd to ssd and now I have a duplicate of the disk in the boot manager, too.

(Yosemite on my Macbook early 2011)
