Canada eh?
This may seem like an odd thought, but I was just curious how many of you keep many copies of the same song in your library.

ie; you have Artist A's greatest hits + all his albums, the same song may appear on the greatest hits as well as 1 or 2 albums and then maybe again on a live album (though that would be a bit different since it's live). To make things worse you might have a VA album that the song appears on or some other mix type album (z103.5 does these so does much music etc;)

Do you delete the duplicates? Thereby breaking the 'completeness' of a certain album...or do you keep them all?

I need to have complete albums. If I don't, it bugs me.

I have 4 different (but mostly the same) versions of several ben folds songs, but I just can't delete them.

I delete them if they are actually duplicates. I've found sometimes I have two of the same song from the same album... it's rare but I've had it from time to time.

If they are both on a complete album I have I leave them. If one is on a complete album and one is by itself with no other tracks from that album I delete the loner.

I like completeness to my albums. At this point disc space for the rare occurrence is negligible.

I keep them... mostly... (I've had a few spring cleanings). But I do uncheck all but one when they're exactly the same version, so only that is being played.

iTunes needs some king of merge/alias function for dealing with duplicates. :(
