Duplicating Folders

Hey Everyone,

So, quick question. I just got a new iMac and iPad, and I want to sync my notes from my documents to dropbox really easily. If I were to duplicate my documents folder and put a copy into my dropbox folder, then would the two documents files remain synced? And then, if I make an edit on my iPad on a file from my dropbox, then would the file also be edited in my regular documents folder?

Does this make any sense? Is this possible?

This might be of interest, as your approach will not work, as Mac OS X does not know, that it should synch something. DropBox is able to use SymLinks:
