I have a new Air on the way. It will be used outside so I need a durable case for drops, etc. but doesn't look like bulky, etc. I would also use in office. Best looking durable case?

Are you looking for a keyboard case and/or one with great drop protection? Have you had iPad cases in the past, and if so, what worked well for you?

I don't necessarily need a keyboard case but if there is one that combines the protection with it, that's fine.

My only iPad before was an older 9.7 model with simple folio case. I didn't use it as much as I plan on using this. When I look at pictures of those now it looks like edges have no protection if dropped?

The Zagg ProKeys looks like a good alternative to the Magic Keyboad. It was Wirecutter's top pick for the iPad in April.

I have the Logitech Combo Touch for my Air 4, and I love it. It's got great protection, superb backlit keyboard with function keys, and a good trackpad. It uses smart connectors instead of Bluetooth, which I prefer because it doesn't need to be charged. The material is quite durable and doesn't show smudges. The keyboard is detachable, a feature I use often when playing games.
