maybe try branded glass screen protector, they are less likely to have problem like that

branded protectors are not going to do much for dust, unless they are negatively charged. Even then, the glass on the iphone would still attract dust.

Once these things are washed, it's a gamble putting them back on. 9/10 times its rendered useless.

I've chosen this one which can be washed. I'll test it later to see whether it will happen as you described.

Just apply it right the first time and you won't have issues, apply in the bathroom after having a hot shower, and use a microfibre cloth to wipe the screen down, use some scotch tape to remove the dust particles and it should go on flawlessly
