Hi.

It's my second iPhone 6S now within a week.

On both of them there is a very tiny speck of dust or something. It's in the upper left corner in the black area (not the display itself) It's clearly visable when you put it up in a light or uses a flashlight. It's not a scratch but under the glass.

The wierd thing is that it's located the exact same place on both of the phones.

So what can it be? Some tiny little screw or wire or is it some dust?

And could i get eighter my money back or a replacement with this problem?

Thanks, Thomas.

Are you perhaps seeing the proximity sensor?

If you purchased the phone from Apple you have a two week period in which to return it. If you purchased it elsewhere, you would have to check with them regarding their return policy.

Yeah, i purchased it at a Electronics warehouse here in Denmark. I will have to take it back there to show them.

I had the same thing on my iPhone 6s but it wasn't on the screen either so I just got used to it.

But it's definitely not supposed to be there, and i cannot live with that kind of thing, so they will have to replace it.. ;-)

It's also visable in normal light, but it's just a bit more clear when you hold it up against a light source.. ;-)

If you're with in your return period and it truly annoys you, return it. You paid for it and everyone has different levels of perception on what they see for defects, I'm similar to you and I expect certain results. I understand nothing is perfect, but that's why manufacturers offer return periods for various issues or concerns. Good luck.

I had something similar on my iPhone 6 but after nearly three years, wear and tear of the old phone made it invisible. If you're not going to use it as some art installation or something, don't bother,it won't affect the function,it's just a little fingerprint from an anonymous assembly robot at the Foxconn electronics in china, where all iPhones are assembled.

My 5s shown some dust around the same area, even around the front camera. I think I know the reason. We men put our phones in our front pockets when necessary or shirt pocket. Deep inside our pockets there are some dust linen, crumples of dirt that aren't always flushed off when we launder. Somehow when we put in our pockets the dirt finds its way through the crevices and then appears on the top portion of your phone, it make sense bcs, when we skide in our phones in our pockets its top side that goes in. So when you demand a replacement, check if dust/dirt shows from the beginning. After a period of time if dust appeared it may have been possible came from your pants pockets. Just my 2 cents.
