Hi all,

I just noticed two dust particles under the camera lenses (1x front camera, 1x ultra wide camera) of my new iPhone 15 Pro Max.

Is this normal?
Can I get it exchanged at the Apple Store? (they currently don’t have in-store pickup stock on the website)

Does the circumference of your camera have a difference in colour?

Not sure - I'm not seeing what you mean. If you could annotate the photos with an arrow that might help.

Highly unlikely, at least in the short term.

I tried wiping it, but it’s definitely behind the glass (see picture attached).

Will just check the local stock within the next two weeks and hope they’ll have some available…

You don’t need to. Apple stores have extra phones for these reasons. Make a Genius Bar appointment. They will swap it out with another 15.

Generally spots on the most forward lens element, won’t visibly affect the image. Pretty common to get quite a lot of dust there on DSLR lenses.

Just got my 15PM swapped out tonight for this very reason. Big piece of dust in the rear main 1x lens. They have specific stock for warranty replacements. I’m in NJ, USA.

i picked up my 15 pro this morning and both the wide and ultra-wide lens had dusts inside...returned it haha

OP did you end up getting a resolution or answer from apple? my telephoto lens basically looks identical. Its hard to tell if its dust or an imperfection in the glass. At some angles it cant be seen

i would replace if your under 14 days return and rebuy if not use apple care or get apple care plus and swap it down the line or do express replacement via apple they put a card on hold till you mail the broken phone back.
