Although I am very happy with my iPhone 11 since last Friday, but I can't say the same for Apple's quality control for the iPhone this year.
My first iPhone 11 (Green) was DOA, the power button didn't work. Apple replaced it with a new iPhone 11 (Green) last Friday.
Now my second iPhone 11 (Green) has 1 dust in the wide lens camera and 2 dusts in the ultra-wide lens camera. I feel it's my right to visit the Genius Bar and ask for a replacement.

Should I ask for another color to avoid the same quality control fate?

Colour, like build week, makes no difference towards the quality control. Either the factory where careful and the phone was checked over before being boxed or it wasn't. Alot of people will suggest to not buy a release day/week/month iphone because the factories are rushing them out the door, but I find Apples quality control lacking all year round.

Last year my XS Max came out of the box with a very noticeable scratch between the mute with and +vol.
My heart sunk and was a bit gutted thinking about having to return it and reorder.

I already had some Cape Cod cloths that I used to keep the previous X steel band like new so thought I had nothing to lose giving that a try before sending back.

15 mins of elbow grease and the cloth and I had successfully removed the scratch!
Shouldn't have had to do it but it worked out in the end.

Every iPhone that I have purchased has dust. Apple QC in this area has always been lacking. I'm not sure why

I've got something under the main lens as well. Not sure if it's dust or some kind of defect. I've taken a ton of pics in every possible light, etc. and it does not seem to be affecting any photos, but it's still bugging me. The rest of the phone, including the screen, is perfect. I also have a genius bar appointment, I'm just nervous I'll get one with other issues or a less than perfect screen, just to swap for peace of mind for an issue that's not affecting anything other than my own need for the thing to be perfect.

Took mine in. FYI I got this phone from ATT online. They wouldn't do anything about it, said it was considered cosmetic and since it wasn't showing up in the camera or photos (it's not) they wouldn't replace it. Had I purchased it there they would just refund me and give me another, but since it was ATT my only recourse is to send it back to them. I was surprised, but they are right, it's not affecting anything. I just know it's there.

ATT wants me to send it back, refund me, then I can buy another. Pain. I'll keep it and if it ever becomes an issue or starts showing up in photos, Apple will fix it. If not, I'll try not to think about it, lol. It's not like I have to keep the thing for the rest of my life. Next time I think I'll get it directly from Apple to avoid this stuff.
