DVD Audio Question

Hi, I just bought a Macbook 2 weeks ago, so I'm fairly new to Mac envirament.
I'd like to extract audio from a music video DVD, can I do this with my Macbook?

I am very interested on how to do that too. I have a few dvds of school productions and I would like to send the audio to a friend.
