DVD burning

OK, I give up..... it is apparently impossible to take a video file and burn it to a playable dvd......Someone please point me in the right direction here. Thanks!

What program are you using to burn it? The free "Burn" program at Sourceforge works great and is easy to use. (Yes, the name of the program is "Burn") Give it a try.

With Burn, make sure you choose Video from along the top and then DVD Video from the drop down menu on the right. Drop your video file in the main window and agree to it being converted. It has to be converted to mpeg for the dvd. Then click on Burn.
