Dvd Clips

I am a member of a literary society (high school speech team and drunken good times) and we're doing a meeting on the meaning of life. I need to know how to lift movie clips from dvd's so i can edit them together for my presentation?

I believe you need to use a DVD ripper program that's capable of de-macrovision and de-CSS. There are some freeware programs on the net that can accomplish this. The next piece of software you need is something like MPEGSTreamclip than can read vobs and multiplex mpeg2 streams. DiVa is also a good program to use if you need to convert it to a file format compatible with iMovie.
