Hi, sorry if this is a simple query but I'm relatively new to macs. I've just acquired a 12" PowerBook with SuperDrive. I've got about 20 .avi files i want to burn on to a DVD to play on my DVD player. The files total about 4GB, so i thought i could just burn them using Toast 6 onto a 4.7GB DVD but it says it's full after just 2 .avi files are dragged to the program.

What can i use so i can get them all on one DVD?? Thanks

Well, if your files are in AVI format (or any other compressed format) they need to be converted into DVD format to actually make the DVD viewable - otherwise, you'd just be burning a DVD data disc with avi data files on it.

This is why you can only fit 2 or so of your clips on a DVD - when the conversion takes place, you can only fit so much onto a DVD.
