DVD-DL with light scribe

Good day...
I have installed a LG H55L DVD-DL w lightscribe in my comp & has been working great until today. It will not recognize DVD movies when I want to play/watch them. It mounts CDs fine etc but not movies.
I havent had a prob until now.
It will still read my DVDs with files.

Can anyone suggest a good DVD-DL burner with lightscribe that is mac friendly?

I've been using a Samsung SH-S182M in a Firewire case for quite a while. It should work the same internally. Plays DVD's fine. I use LaCie's LightScribe Labeler for labeling.

It sound like the dvd drive is going out.
I have had a few drives, after much use display this or similar problems.
How old is it, you may want to see if the manufacture offers any kind of warranty.

I bought the unit in Nov 07.
Called LG & they said sorry we dont support mac (although it worked before).
I might call back & not even mention mac & ask for a replacement.
