Spelling checkI have not had my iMac long and still trying to get round things. can someone advise me how I can put my video on a DVD so that I can play it on my DVD player to watch it on a TV? What is the best programme rouse and what file format? I was told avi. I tried that and got nowhere also I was told to get an independent software to convert and to burn the video so that I can watch the video via my DVD player.

Any idea of the quality of the mpeg encoding when you do it this way?

If you can get a copy of iDVD that would be the best way to go. It's easy to use, and actually a very powerful program for creating DVDs. I use it all the time, and there isn't another program I've seen on either Mac's or PC's that can compare.
