Having got the Lost Complete Collection for Christmas and being eager to watch it on my Macbook Pro. After putting the first disc in, I get all the way through the menus but when selecting the actual episode or play all. The screen freezes and goes blank, the dvd in the drive makes some clunking and whirring noises, before stopping and the DVD Player app stops responding.

The only way to get the disk ejected is to force quit the DVD Player app, and this happens with every disk in the Lost collection ! Not great !
I have tried the disks in other dvd players and laptops and they work fine, also other DVD's work fine with my macbook, just not these. Very frustrating.

Any ideas ?
Thanks,
Matt

When you say other "laptops," do you mean other Macs running the same version of OS X? If not, it could just be an issue with the DVD player app. Try VLC.
