A friend of mine gave me some personal stuff she wanted to back up to DVDs. She gave me TDK 16x DVD+R media to backup the stuff. I, however, can't backup the videos she gave me cause the disks aren't showing up on the Mac at all.

The crappy "SuperDrive" on all Macs is notorious for not reading DVD+R discs. Try using a DVD-R instead.

Especially in the older PPC Macs. I don't know of any Intel Macs that have trouble reading the DVD+R discs, but my PBG4 can't read them, the format isn't supported by my drive at all.

Do you have an external DVD drive? You could try that. Works for me.
