DVD Player Crashing

I've got a Mac PowerPC G4 dual 800MHz running OS X 10.3.9.

My Apple DVD Player crashes immediately after I try to launch it. I insert a DVD, and in a couple of seconds, I receive a "DVD Player has unexpectedly quit" message. Same thing happens when I try to launch DVD Player manually from within Applications.

Any ideas on how to cure this dastardly problem?
 
Try dragging a file named com.apple.DVDPlayer.plist out of your Preferences folder. 🙂
