DVD Player Issue (iMac)

I have a football game recorded on a DVD+R 1-16x Speed 4.7GB and it won't play on my 24" iMac with Lion. It starts to play then gets hung up with the following message: "skipping over damaged area".

I take the same DVD and play it on my Macbook 13" using Leopard and it plays perfectly.

Any idea why?
